Who We Are
We are a 100% women-owned and operated business, headed by a mother-daughter team. Tracy (the daughter) started this business as a one-woman show back in 2008, when friends saw her knitting stockings for her family and wanted some. As the business grew, she added her mom, Cindy, to help with day-to-day operations (answering phones and emails, and handling shipping). Tracy's background as a Professional Designer enables her to design and produce one-of-a-kind stocking patterns in addition to the traditional ones offered here, and to demonstrate impeccable color-matching skills.
The Big Mitten
The place we've always called home. America's high five. The big mitten surrounded by the Great Lakes, where warm knitted things are needed in winter. It's Michigan, the land of our childhoods, it's history woven into ours. Careers and our lives may have taken us away, but the Big Mitten is where our roots run the deepest, and any voyage there is a trip "home."
Inspired by Family
The best things in life were made by hand. My grandmother knitted all of our stockings, which made Christmas really special. When she couldn't do it anymore I decided to try my hand at it. The rest, they say, is history. This photo is of the stockings my grandma made. Yarn colors change, but the pattern is classic.
